EN: For minimal design lovers this year is probably a dream come true when it comes to bathroom design.
The Highlight is the exclusive partnership between the Danish studio Norm Architects, (founded in 2008 by the architects Kasper Ronn and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen) and Ex.t – a florentine brand that creates design products for bathroom and home. Within the partnership, two gorgeous product lines were created „Stand“ and „Felt“. Minimalism and lightness of form made possible with the „Stand“ bathtub & basin and the modular wall shelves „Felt“. This is innovative, something different from what we know in the traditional massive bathroom products.
About the Design: The Stand collection was inspired from the lightweight elegant cast iron details, typical of 1920/30 interiors reminding us about the Art Nouveau and Art Deco elegance. The washbasin reminds us of luxuriant winter garden plant-pots and the bathtub is retromodern comeback of the classic bathtub with lion shaped legs. Both products are made of LivingTec® and matt varnished metal. This innovative hi-tech material makes the slimness of the black metal structures posible. The Designers describe the process of subtraction used for this collection:
“From the very beginning, our goal was to create design objects that were beautiful and sculptural yet at the same time light and airy, in an industry sector, bathroom furnishings, which often tends to be dominated by visually heavy furnishing elements. In line with our minimalist philosophy, we tried to reinterpret the Modernist style of the 1920s and 30s, stripping it of its decorative excesses to reach the point where there is nothing more to add or take away in order to make the product better.” – Kasper Ronn and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen
„Felt“ – translated from Danish as „frame“ is a multifunctional storage module for the minimal bath, the second component of the collection. Made with matte varnished painted metal and two choices of shape mirrors (round or square) they ad a graphical optic and multifunctional storage solution.
To complete the minimal bathroom look, Norm Architects created the Menu Bath Series- a set of bath accessoires in beautiful reduced shapes. In Spring 2015, The Norm Wall Mirror was added to the collection, joining the KaschKasch Mirror. Other items include the Bath Towel Ladder and Flip Around Chair, topped with small matching details like Bath Knobs, Soap Pump, Toilet Roll Holder, Toothbrush Holder and more.
Now, creating a minimal style bath – all in one style, all from one design house, is a dream came true.
DE: Für alle die von einem minimalistischen Badezimmerträumen, ist dieses jahr bestimmt das Jahr, in dem die Träumen wahr werden können.
In diesem Jahr präsentieren Norm Architects (ein 2008 etabliertes Dänisches Designstudio der Architekten Kasper Ronn und Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen) wunderbare minimalistische Designkreationen fürs Bad.
Der Glanzpunkt ist wahrscheinlich die Partnerschaft und Kooperation zwischen Norm Architekten und Ex.t – einer Florentiner Marke die Badezimmerprodukte herstellt.
Innerhalb der Partnerschaft wurden interessante Produktlinien entwickelt – eine „Stand“ Badewanne, ein Waschbecken und das Aufbewahrungsregal „Felt“.
Diese Badezimmermöbel sind innovativ indem sie leichte und minimalistische Formen haben – etwas ganz anderes als die traditionellen massiven Badewannen und Waschbecken.
Über das Design: die „Stand“-Kollektion wurde inspiriert von den leichten, eleganten Eisenkonstruktionen der 1920er und 30er Jahre. Diese Teile, erinnern uns an die Art Deco und Art Nouveau Eleganz. Die Badewanne ist ein „retmodernen comeback“ der klassischen „Leon-Beine-Badewanne“. Alle Produkte aus der „Stand“ Kollektion sind aus LivingTec® und mattiertem Metall gemacht. Diese Verarbeitung sorgt für die Schlankheit des schwarzen Eisens.
„Vom allerersten Augenblick war unsere Absicht, Designgegenstände zu schaffen, die schön und noch zur gleichen Zeit leicht und Luft-, in einem Industriezweig, Badezimmermobiliar Skulptur-waren, der häufig dazu neigt, durch visuell schwere Ausrüstungselemente beherrscht zu werden. In Überein-stimmung mit unserer Minimalistenphilosophie haben wir versucht, den Modernistenstil der 1920er Jahre und der 30er Jahre wiederzuinterpretieren, es seiner dekorativen Übermaße beraubend, um den Punkt zu erreichen, wo es nichts mehr gibt, um beizutragen oder wegzunehmen, um das Produkt besser zu machen.“ – Kasper Ronn and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen
Das dänische Wort „Felt“ bedeutet Gerüst, Rahmen. Dies ist der Name für die Produktlinie des Aufbewarungsmobiliars für das Badezimmer. Es ist aus matt lackiertem Metall gemacht. Das Mobiliar kommt in zwei Spiegel-Formen – rund und quadratisch. Felt hat eine graphische Optik und ist eine sehr elegante Lösung etwas aufzubewahren.
Um das minimalistische Badezimmer-Design zu vervollständigen, entwarfen Norm Architekten auch eine passende reduzierte Badaccesoire Kollektion – „Menu Bath Series“. Und im Frühling 2015 hat sich The Norm Wall Mirror der Kollektion sehr elegant angeschlossen.
Und jetzt steht dem Ziel eine minimalistisches Badezimmer „aus einer Hand“ zu erreichen, nichts mehr im Wege. Welch eine Freude für Minimalist-Design Enthusiasten wie mich.
